Gower Coastal Races- Ultra 50, Ultra Bach, Trail 22 (12th October 2019)

The Gower Coastal Races are three long distances trail races following the Wales Coastal Path. The Gower Ultra 50 race is a complete 50 mile circumnavigation of the stunning Gower peninsula. The Gower Ultra Bach is the shorter version covering 34miles of beutiful Coastline. The Gower Trail 22 follows 22 miles from Rhossilli to Mumbles. Gower is Britian's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and following the route it is easy to see why! You will pass stunning beaches, amazing bays, tiny coves, farmland, fishing villages and amazing views from start to finish.

The Dragon Coastal Ultra Races- 100miles or 100k - (4th & 5th May 2019)

The The Dragon 100 Coastal Race is a ultra-trail footrace along the Wales Coastal Path. There is a choice of TWO distances - 100 miles from Rhossili Bay to Cardiff Bay OR 100 kilometers from Afan Forest to Cardiff Bay. The routes are ideal for a first attempt at either distance or for a seasoned runner looking to post a quick time over some fast runnable trails. The route follows the Wales Coastal Path and passes through some stunning sceneary including the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the Glamorgan Heritage Coast and parts of the Afan Forest. Both routes finish at the Iconic Norwegian Church after a run over the Cardiff Bay Barrage.

SW50 - 'The Brecon to Cardiff Ultra Trail Race' (22nd June 2019)

The South Wales 50 is a fully marked mountain trail ultra in the Brecon Beacons and sourrounding South Wales Valleys. The Brecon to Cardiff Ultra Trail Race is the summer mountain version of the highly popular winter Brecon to Cardiff ultra. As the weather is more dependable we leave the low level Taff Trail and head over the mountain peaks!. What results is an amazing trail running route with mixed and varied terrain through some stunning mountains, valleys, and rolling runnable trails.

SW100 - 'The Ultra Tour De Cymru'  (21st-23rd June 2019)

The SW100 - The Ultra Tour De Cymru- is a 100mile ultra trail footrace starting and finishing in Cardiff, and crossing the South Wales Valleys and the Brecon Beacons. The route passes many famous landmarks, including Castles, Mountain Summits, Waterfalls and Green Rolling Hills all linked by an amazing network of trails. The route has approximately 6000 meters of ascent and is over 90% on trails. It is a UTMB qualifying race and is worth 6 points.

"that race is simply "insane" and must be one of the hardest 100 milers in Europe if not further afield".

The SW50 is the second half of the SW100 route starting in Brecon, the foot of Pen y Fan then running to Cardiff, it has over 3200 meters of ascent.  It is also a UTMB qualifying race and is worth 4 points.

Vale Coastal Ultra & 18.5 mile (6th April 2019) 

UTMB 2018 2 points

The Vale Coastal Ultra takes in the entire 32 mile coast of the Vale of Glamorgan from the historic Penarth Pier to Ogmore-by-sea.  It is fast and (relatively) flat course that runs on a variety of cliff top trail, shingle and sand beaches.  As you run along the coast on one side you will have the dramtic scenery of the Severn Estuary and the hills of North Devon and on the other the hills of South Wales!  There is also a 18.5 mile option that starts from Rhoose and joins the ultra route to finish at Orgmore.  It is a UTMB qualifing race and is worth 2 points.

Brecon to Cardiff Ultra (10th February 2019)

The Brecon to Cardiff Ultra is a one way fully marked 70k ultra run following the Taff Trail. It takes place in early February each year just in time for those new year resolutions. The route runs through the Brecon Beacons National Park past mountains, rivers, reservoirs and woodland taking in some great views. The course is fully marked, making this an ideal race for beginners looking to complete their first ultra or for experienced runners to post a fast time.  It is a UTMB qualifing race and is worth 3 points.

Pembrokeshire Coastal Ultra Races (4th - 8th September 2019)

 

With 3 race distances to choose from along Britains only Coastal National Trail the question is- which one will you go for! The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is a wellmarked trail hugging what is widely regarded as the most breathtaking and beautiful coastline in Britain! The 100mile race is a challenging non-stop ultra race from Dale to St Dogmaels. The 3 day stage race follows the same 100 mile route, but is split over 3 single stage sections with an overninght camp between each section. The Pembrokeshire 180 is the whole coast path from Amroth to St Dogmaels split over 5 days.

Ghost Run - 5 mile Halloween Head Torch Run
Trails, mud and fun!

Thursday October 25th 2018 7pm

It's not quite the 31st of October but rumour has it the ghouls and ghosts will be out for this one. The run follows trails, through woods and muddy tracks with just the light of your head torch guiding the way.
