The Vale Coastal Races are the original ultra marathon and trail races along the Vale of Glamorgan Coastline, now proudly in their 11th year!  The Ultra race is a 32.5 mile linear route along the entire coast of the Vale of Glamorgan. The Vale Trail 18.5 (or mini ultra as it has fondly become known!) is an 18.5 mile run along the Coast Path passing through the Glamorgan Heritage Coast and the Vale Trail 10 follows the last 10 miles of both races. 

The races have proved a popular choice for anyone attempting any of these distances for the first time.  You can expect a rolling, but not extreme or technical course and easy navigation.  Along the way you'll be supported by ample, well stocked checkpoints and plenty of enthusiasm from our wonderful checkpoint teams!

And finally as you come into Ogmore you'll be guaranteed three things - the final climb (christened the 'hill of doom' by participants), a fantastic welcome from the crowds at the finish and the conclusion of a great day out!
